Sodium chloride.
Description
Each 100 mL (delivered dose) contains: Sodium chloride 15 g (15% w/v).
Indications/Uses
For the relief of constipation; Before rectal examination; A quick, convenient, hygienic solution for evacuation or other therapeutic or diagnostic purposes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Rectal.
20 mL.
Children: ½ bottle.
Adult: 1 bottle; 2 bottles (severe).
1. Slowly insert to the rectum.
2. Squeeze the bottle until empty.
3. Remove the tip carefully and block with cotton or soft tissue to prevent reflux, wait until urge to evacuate (usually 2 to 5 minutes).
Or as prescribed by the physician.
Warnings
Do not use when nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain are present.
Storage
Store at temperature between 23-35°C.
